What to Expect in the Tax Interview
- Download our "What to bring to your tax appointment" checklist. Gather as many items on the list, that apply to you.
- If you have brought the items listed that apply to your situation and have it organized, allow 45 min to 1 hr for your interview.
- During the interview we will ask you dozens of questions. Our questions help us obtain all required information for the tax year and help you receive any/all qualified deductions.
- We will also ask questions to obtain information to help you with tax planning for next year.
- We will answer any question you may have.
- We may not be able to finish your return during the interview if we do not have all the necessary information. In that case, we will ask you to clarify or provide additional information.
- There could be consultation fee if we need to make phone calls on your behalf and or do additional research.
- To prevent a delay of the completion of your return; you may drop off the requested tax information to us.
- You may request a mini appointment to meet with your preparer if you would like to review the information and ask any questions.
- A consultation fee of $25 will be assessed at the end of the interview if you do not want us to file your return.
